Aidan Kranz (b. 1995) is a Chicago based creative and beard owner who works as a photographer, videographer, drummer.

My friends know I’m not much for bios; self aggrandizement has never been my strong suit and it likely never will be. My impetus is always to let my words and actions speak for themselves. I’ve been styled as an “adventure photographer” before, but that feels too narrow in scope. Every day offers a new experience, a swirling mass of the unknown that unfurls in front of us. From rainy afternoons in a coffeeshop to the grand vistas of an epic road trip, I seek to distill and capture the adventurous essence of any aspect of life.

I think most would agree that the world around us is a chaotic place, and often overwhelming. I have found though, that in the chaos there is often great beauty, and that the search for it is both purposeful and sustaining. It is untempered, raw, and explosive, yet also subtle and fleeting; offering a completely unique experience with each passing second. Never seen before, and not to be repeated again. The proverbial “lightning in a bottle” occurs every moment. Every image, journal, video, or letter encapsulates a moment so unique; how can we not consider this beautiful?
